Personalized Quilt/blanket with a saying?
I am looking to find a blanket or wall hanging where I can put my own words on it and customize it how I want it. If its fleece then it will probably have to be emboridered. Im looking to do something for my grandmother with a poem that she had once given me. I want to have it put on a quilt or wall hanging so she can cherish it forever. Does anyone know of a website of company that will do this for me? I can only find companies that will do it for babies and put their names on it but its a poem so I will need a few lines that I can customize. Or does anyone do something like this and have a website I can look at and possibly order from? Her bday is in August so I need to get one asap, within next 2 weeks or so. Thanks!
How about fabric paints and write the poem on the center block in pencil then go over it with the fabric paint pen.
The center block can be whatever size you need it to be. Then do a border of really neat squares around this.
One of my daughters made her sister a “rag” coverlet for Christmas. Cut all squares or blocks on straight grain lines, seam with the seams to the outside, 1/2 inch depth, fringe them then wash the thing.
Of course you could put a filler and backing on this, fringing the edges too?, and tie it with embroidery floss at each intersection.
You can do this!!! or you could do the center and go down to the local Sewing machine center and see if someone there would like to finish it up for you.
