Trying to get an idea of how much to charge for my handmade Quilts?
I love shabby chic so most of my quilts are pastel, white ruffles ect. I would like to start a little on the side online business. I just don’t know what to charge. Most of them are baby blanket sized. I have two king size ones and 1 full size one. Just looking for anyone’s thoughts about this.
Also…what kind of patterns, colors do you find most appealing? I’m willing to also try starting a childrens line. Clouds and scenery type blankets people could also put on their wall.
I’d recommend that you go on eBay and look at the quilts there to see what people are selling them for. You can look at the “buy it now” or the completed auctions. A lot of the value of your quilts will have to do with the quality of the work. If there’s a children’s consignment shop in your town take one or two of your quilts down there. Ask the owner if you might sell them out of her store and ask her for suggestions about what you should charge.
